Nutrition

When you are trying to control diabetes, you don’t have to add more nutrition to your diet because more about you are already taking in your diet, so no special food is essential but you have to pay attention towards carbohydrates or calories which you are consuming in your diet.

Loose Weight

When you start following the heart-healthy diet, the most important thing you have to do is losing little weight according to your age. By consuming the healthy diet, do some physical exercises and yoga or another type of workout for losing weight. Automatically your blood sugar level, blood pressure, and cholesterol are under control by losing weight. You will have to consume only 1500 to 1800 calories per day. In your diet add at least three vegetables and two fruits each day.

Avoid Consuming Dry Fruits

Dry fruits sound like a healthy diet but the diabetic patient has to avoid dry fruits because fructose present in this may increase your sugar level which will prove as dangerous. So add fresh fruits and juice instead of dry fruits.

Fresh Vegetables:
Intake of green vegetables like salad, bitter gourd, spinach helps in to reduce the sugar level. They are healthy and delicious food. Roast spinach levels with olive oil and act as crunchy chips. Almonds:

Fruits:
Many people said that, avoid intake of fruits in diabetes because they are sweet in nature. This is not a truth for all the fruits. Fruits like papaya, pear, apple, guava and orange, they are rich in fiber and can be consumed. Avoid mango, grapes, and banana because in these fruits high amount of sugar is present.

What should be avoided-

  • Avoid sugary beverages such as soda, energy and sports drinks, coffee and artificial sweeteners like doughnuts, muffins, cereal, candy, these food add weight.
