Pomegranate or anars contain potent antioxidants and you can benefit from them to protect your body from free radicals. Try them in fruit chaat, juice or just with a bit of rock salt.
Dry, unsalted nuts
Don’t skip nuts even if you are trying to avoid high-fat foods. Nuts contain fat which is good for you. They are super foods that can help prevent heart disease and cancer. Nuts are high in monounsaturated fats and vit E and are a great snack since those fats make you feel full longer. Keep a box of almonds, walnuts or peanuts for a healthy snack handy so you don’t reach out for the namkeens and gulabjamuns or cake slices. Eat 5-10 nuts only as a small snack.
Green vegetables are as some of the most nutritious and fiber rich foods out these. If you’re tired of spinach, try chaulai, mustard saag, broccoli etc. which will give you antioxidants, folate, flavonoids, vitamins and minerals.
