Diet to Manage PCOS/ PCOD

Infertility in women is often caused by Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS. Five to seven percent of all women are affected by PCOS which is a metabolic disorder. If it is left untreated, PCOS can increase the risk of endometrial cancer. Women diagnosed with PCOS are at a higher risk of developing diabetes and heart disease. Historically diet was never thought to play an important role in the treatment of this condition. But it is now believed that with a proper diet, insulin levels can be lowered which help to stabilize menstrual cycles, acne and hirsutism. Proper diet may also decrease the chances of diabetes and heart disease. Indian diet plan for PCOs may prove to be of help to you in such a situation.
